Yes, it is time, again,to make plans for the Teddy Bear Reunion in the Heartland to be presented in Clarion, Iowa, June 10-13, 2010! I, along with other members of the IATBMG will be exhibiting and helping with workshops. The theme this year is "Holidays" and I have prepared a piece for the auction and will also display in the Spectacular Bears using this theme. The brainchild of Iowa Guild member and celebrated teddy bear artist Steve Schutt, the convention and show has been produced by the town of Clarion every five years since 1990.

The Iowa Teddy Bear Makers' Guild will present a short Make-and-Take Teddy Bear Pin Workshop at the Iowa State Fair.
MAKE & TAKE WORKSHOP!
TIME: Sunday, August 23rd, 2009
Two sessions are offered, at 10:00am and 1:30pm
COST: $10 per kit - All materials are included.
LOCATION: Iowa State Fair, on the 2nd floor of
the Fabric and Threads exhibit,
which is located the Knapp Varied
Industries Building.
CLASS INFORMATION: Make a 3.5" tall, tan
upholstery fabric Teddy Bear Pin
by Cindy Hom of CH Beaers.
All materialsand tools needed are included. Machine sewing
has been completed. You will turn, stuff, and stitch the bear
closed. You will decorate, attach the pin
back and finish his face. Skill level: Beginner
–to– Intermediate hand sewer.
Guild members will be on hand to assist you.
This is Extreme Sunday and the fair offers:
Half-price gate admission all day
Free parking for carloads of five or more in the Fair's North Lot
